VOTE (entails making sure you’re registered, making sure you have an absentee ballot, and then voting) — how to check whether you’re registered, etc.
GET OTHERS TO VOTE (tell your friends and family both in the US and abroad. Once you’ve figured out how to check, help others! Join a Get out the Vote Campaign. Letter writing has shown to be one of the few efforts that makes a difference. (See this article) If you want to do more, you can PLAN and HOST a get out the vote effort in your community abroad
GET TO KNOW OTHERS in your community and encourage other expats to join in local community activities such as clean-up-the-beach, plant a tree, volunteer teaching, building latrines, etc.
In the 2020, 2022, and 2024 elections, 24 voter registration and Get-Out-the-Vote handwritten letter campaigns were organized.
