Only 3.4% of Americans living abroad vote.

While 62% of the general voting population voted during the last presidential election, only 3.4% of US citizens living abroad voted .That’s 3,767,400 people living abroad who didn’t vote! Meanwhile, the last few presidential elections have been decided by razor thin margins. The 2016 presidential election was decided by 77,744 votes! That’s less than a quarter of one percent of the US population that decided who the fate of the United States and, because of America’s influential role globally, the world.
